Take A Hike

While I don’t mind traditional workouts, I prefer physical activities that workout my mind and body.

I sometimes forget to get out and appreciate the beauty in doing simple things. So this year on the 4th, I decided to go on a short hike before the usual BBQ and fireworks. I must say it was the most relaxing workout!!! It was so beautiful, I didn’t want to leave. I really took time to take it all in, refocus, and refuel.

It was probably the most therapeutic workout I’ve had in a long time. I’m a firm believer that no matter how much you train and mold your physical appearance, feelng good on the inside is what matters most. That’s why it’s so important to choose workouts, every now and then, that are less about sweating, and more about working out you inner self. A strong mind complements, nourishes, and takes care of a strong body. If you have both of those elements you can do anything.

Typically when you think workout, you think spandex and form fitting workout gear. However, I decided to go with these Harem Pants and Deep V Bra courtesy of Zumba. They couldn’t have been more perfect for my hike. The pants are so comfortable, and worked well with rock climbing and steep trails.

If you’ve never been hiking, I recommend you try it. There is something so peaceful about how beautiful nature is. More importantly it’s empowering. It really amazes me how people often feel that beauty has a price. But if you take time out to look around you, you realize there’s beauty in everything. It’s all about perspective xoxo.
