More Old Shit

Hope you had a great weekend!! It was all work and a little play for me, just how I like it. I took my weave out so I'm debating my next hair move, hence the title of this post, more old shit. The best part about traveling is taking a million photos!!! I have so many lost files from Europe, you may have seen if you follow me on Instagram. But hell, I'll post them here too.

As I was preparing for Paris fashion week, I had these glorious outfits mapped out, so I thought. Don't get me wrong, I love the looks I put together. But getting there and seeing insane street style with my own two mind was really blown. So much so I actually find it extremely difficult to shop right now.

I'm such a pack rat, a character trait I inherited from my mom. But lately I've realized I have too much stuff!! So before I shop, I'm purging more than half of the clothes I own. I never thought I'd do this lol.

I use to feel the need to have a lot of stuff, but when I think about it, I really want a small collection of beautiful things and a whole lot of basics. I want pieces that are beautiful and have a story to tell. Picking up pieces from thrift stores in Europe was awesome. I decided I'll hunt for one vintage treasure from every country I travel to. Hopefully one day I'll have a closet full of stories to tell.

I got his PREEN dress, spotted on their Instagram, from Buttons & Bows in LA.

In Milan we came across this structure getting off the metro. I thought it was so cool so I decided to shoot there before we left. This top is pretty dope, it looked perfect against the modern architecture. It's so unique, I've never really seen a top like it. That's why I love ANTHOM, it's where you go to find brands with fresh concepts and intricate designs.

I wasn't a one-trick pony, this look was definitely a masculine/feminine hybrid.

So many people ask me how to approach alternating from super girly to androgynous. Honestly I don't think about it much, I'll say I'm naturally drawn to comfort. That's where a lot of my androgynous looks stem from. Even when I'm dressed masculine, I have that one element that softens the look. Then those rare days I feel super girly...I embrace that too! So there's no science to it, the most important thing is to wear what you feel good in. Don't think too much about it, as long as you dig what you see in the mirror that's all there is to it.

Anyway, I can't believe this year is almost over. My head has been down trying to do so many things, December just crept up on me. I'm making a big push to finish the ground work for all these projects. I know the new year is gonna be here in the blink of an eye. But I'm ready for 2015, I call it the year of will...because my will, will will a lot of great things to happen for me. I can feel it :) I hope you're approaching the year the same way. Have a great week guys.
