Some of you may know already, but I'm a huge sports fan! I'm also a former college athlete. In fact, I attribute my work ethic and will to win to the years I've spent (and continue to spend) as an athlete. There's nothing like a little healthy competition! I know a lot of you think wearing fan gear translates to frumpy T-shirts and sweats. But ladies, we can be feminine and dare I say sexy in our fan gear. I mean a woman who watches sports, drinks beer, and screams obscenities at the game...all while looking fly. Well that's a man's dream come true.
So I've partnered with the NFL to showcase my NFL fan style.
Top: c/o the NFL / Pants: Zara / Sweater: H&M / Boots: Tony Bianco / Jacket: Thrifted
Now even though I technically reside in Maryland, I'm all about the burgundy and gold. Football is my favorite sport. There's nothing like lazy Sundays watching football all day or heading to a local bar for a rivalry game. One of the only things I look forward to in the colder months, because I really hate the cold.
I'm all smiles thanks to the Redskins record breaking victory this weekend! We had a few injuries but won pretty convincingly. I've been wanting to see more Kirk Cousins on the field and he didn't disappoint! Hoping RGIII get's better soon.
Moving onto my look, I'm all about layering, Fall in DC is my favorite season. So I decided to showcase how I wear my fan gear when I'm headed out to watch the game. The fit of NFL Women's Apparel makes it really easy to incorporate pieces into your everyday wardrobe.
The best thing about layering is it allows you to play around with a look. Whether you're going sporty or feminine, layering allows you to push the fashion envelope. These thigh high boots are sick, they added just the right amount of edge to this outfit. The sweater around my waist breaks up the burgundy and I topped it off with a vintage coat to complete the look.
What do you guys think?!? Now let's be clear, I'm allergic to any other team apparel!!! Read the title, I hail only to the Redskins (And Peyton Manning) haha. Use the hashtag #NFLfanSTYLE on Instagram and share how you style your fan gear. If you don't have any, all hope isn't lost lol. Grab a few from the NFL Shop.
