Casual

If you haven't taken advantage of tax free week in Maryland, today's your last day so you better take advantage! I use to have the hardest time dressing casually. You know, that happy medium in between being dressed up or dressed down. I had to realize "dressed down" isn't sweatpants and a T-shirt, which was a really hard concept for me to grasp initially.

Even though it took me forever to figure out what casual meant to me, it's actually my favorite way to dress. If I had to describe it, I'd say it's casual chic. I stole that from Keri hahahaha. I still haven't figured out how to wear flats that aren't sneakers lol. I'm not too fond of being short, so flats are an issue for me.

Anyway, my go-to casual outfit is usually a T-shirt and pencil skirt worn with heels. I decided to throw on a pair of jeans instead of a skirt because it's been kinda cool in the mornings and evenings. I stick to cotton or cotton blend fabrics mostly, H&M is really the best place to buy basics. As you can see, basically this whole outfit is from H&M.

I stumbled across this mural in Downtown Silver Spring, which was actually perfect because well let's face it, it's not like jeans & a tee is blowing your mind lol. I actually love the murals I'm seeing pop up around the area lately. Art in all forms is inspiring and murals add character. I'm inspired most by what I see, so I love getting out and exploring. Those usually turn into my best days!

This weekend is suppose to be really nice so make sure you get out and enjoy it. Me and the kiddo are going to run around town. We both are experiencing slight cabin fever from this week. Until next time xoxo.
