I think I drank enough wine last night to get me through the start of this week.

I had the most peaceful weekend, I literally just laid around and it was so perfect. I can't remember the last time I had the chance to just relax, I needed that. But it's back to reality now, I gotta have a power week at the 9-5.

Although I'm grateful to have a job, I can't wait for the day I work for myself! I have career conversations with people all the time, I'm always curious to hear opinions on 9-5's vs self employment. My biggest problem is this, lack of work life balance. If you have a family, you probably relate more to this than if you're single. It's so easy to get caught up in a routine when you work 9-5. It's like I rush to get home, feed my son, and it's time for him to go to bed. That sucks!! It leaves no room for quality time with my family. That's my biggest motivation for working for myself. The ability to set my own schedule, do something I love, and spend quality time with my family. Even if I barely make ends meet doing that, I'll take it, because the value of being the parent and future wife I want to be, mean more to me than money.

Anyway, about the only thing I did do this weekend was go to the movies. So in typical me fashion, I got all dressed up only to sit in the dark haha. I was feeling leather, so thanks to it becoming cooler Saturday night, I paired this leather skirt and faux leather top together. Big accessories are in heavy rotation for me lately, I've been piling that shit on lol. Just into it again...I'm also really into colored eyeliner. I think it adds a little summer flair to my typical makeup routine. And I like that it's subtle.

I'm finally starting to tan...can't wait till my skin gets all almondy haha. Hopefully the weather will take a turn for the better, so I can lay out a lil bit. Welp, it's a short week, let's make it a productive one so we can enjoy the long weekend xoxo.
