All About Elegance
Monday I headed to Georgetown for the grand opening of Rent the Runway's DC store. The store is absolutely gorgeous, I'll post a few snaps in another post. I had fun hanging with my blogger boo's and checking out some pretty amazing dresses. This Bibhu Mohapatra dress was gifted to me for the evening and I felt so elegant.

I decided to keep accessories to a minimum because this dress makes such a strong statement. The attention to detail is stunning and it fit me like a glove! If only it could be a permanent fixture in my closet...these pictures don't do it any justice, in person, this dress takes things to a whole other level.

I love dressing up. Every now and then slip on a beautiful (just because), go out with friends, and be beautiful. Not for anyone else, for yourself...it's important to take time out to celebrate yourself! When I do that, I feel so rejuvenated and ready to take on the world.

Anyway, I still haven't made it off the couch after cooking and eating all day yesterday. I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving...I sure did. I basically cooked all by myself and actually really enjoyed doing it. It's been so long since I've felt 100% comfortable in the kitchen. But lately I've really been on a roll.

I've been posting food on my Instagram like crazy. I've finally found a reason to use Pinterest! It took me so long to get into it, I've tried about 20 times to no avail. But at last, cooking has given Pinterest purpose. I'm considering posting recipes on the blog again, but most likely will keep them on Pinterest. I just started pinning again, but you can find me HERE.

I was scrolling through my blog yesterday, I love seeing how my style has evolved over the past few years. Not to sound self centered, but I really love my fearless approach to fashion. I don't believe in fashion rules and I don't belong to any classification or box when it comes to style. I wear what's beautiful to me, fashion is artistry and I love that my style represents that.

People always want to classify others, maybe it's their way of making sense of things. I'd rather people accept that most people can't be defined. I know I'm many things, and this day my style reflected that. This day I decided to be elegant xx
