I have some super exciting news, which you may know already if you follow me on social. In my mother’s day post I mentioned I was working on some things which is why I’ve been so quiet here on the blog. Well I’m super excited today to say that I’ve launched my baby apparel brand, Harp Noelle!!!!
It has been a passion of mine to launch a brand for some time now, many years ago some of you may remember I was working on a boys line (which I will bring to life over the next year), that experience was critical in my journey to launching my baby brand. I learned so much through trial and error working on that brand. It’s why I decided to start smaller in a sense and launch Harp Noelle as an in-house brand instead of heading right into production, which is really fucking expensive.
The main reason I decided to move forward in-house was because I wanted to get to know my customer base before spending thousands, yes thousands, going the production route. It just didn’t make sense for me because I thankfully I have the resources to get in off the ground, gather data, and then make those financially heavy decisions regarding production more aware of the demand for my brand.
So if you’re thinking about starting a business, my advice is start small and grow as you go! You’ll have a much better understanding of things and likely save a lot of wasted money and time. The most important part of staring a brand is understanding that, many people make the mistake of thinking you have to start big, which is what I initially did and learned the hard way spending a lot of money in error.
Anyway, Harp Noelle is a 100% handmade apparel brand, I love that I get to feel and touch every piece we ship out! It’s like my 3rd baby lol, I feel so connected to it because it’s my first product based brand. Over the next few weeks we’ll be adding a lot more to the site and in August you’ll start seeing our F/W pieces hit the site.
My fat fat Harper is modeling our pieces because she’s so damn juicy!! One day I’ll get a real smile out of her, she is such a happy baby but when you put the camera in front of her, she’s like nah mama I ain’t wit it. I will break her, I will break her lol…she doesn’t quite know how persistent her mama is!! But I love the images from our launch photographed by Xingni, she was so patient with us at our shoot and Harper is like the most chill baby alive! She lasted many hours barely crying, I was such a proud mama.
She won't smile but she will show you her bloomers...Oh Harper!
The best part of this achievement is that it’s a family affair! Looking back I’m sure I’ll have so many priceless memories working on shoots with Harper while Chase is running around like a madman ha, sewing with my mom even though we argue fifty-levin times a day, and teaching my kids before they even realize to be entrepreneurial and what work ethic looks like. Seeing how they’re shaped by being involved every step of the way will be amazing to watch!
So if you have a baby or know someone who does…SHARE!!!! Please and thank you, you guys have been so awesome in my journey. I love hearing from you, so shoot me a line and let me know what you guys think! You’ll be seeing me a lot more now that I’ve gotten things off the ground. I can’t wait to share the journey ahead.
